Drawing on cutting-edge science, ethics, and innovation, C-TeCH investigates how emerging technologies can both promote positive outcomes and mitigate risks in child physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development.
Research & Evaluation
We design and rigorously test digital tools—including mobile apps, wearables, AI-driven platforms—that can support language growth, mental health, physical activity, sleep quality, and more.
Risk–Benefit Analyses
We examine potential adverse effects such as digital overuse, exposure to substance use marketing, screen dependency, attention challenges, and privacy concerns, alongside promoting protective digital strategies.
Knowledge Dissemination
We create resource hubs for researchers, parents, clinicians, and policymakers that summarize current findings, best practices, and guidelines for safe and effective digital engagement within a public health context.
Training & Development
We support early-career researchers and trainees in PHHP through pilot grants, workshops, and mentorship in child-focused digital health research.
Public Engagement & Policy Advising
We provide evidence-based guidance to families, educators, industry leaders, and policymakers on creating child-friendly digital spaces.
